President Biden to survey damage from Helene during visit to Carolinas

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD)- President Joe Biden will travel to the Carolinas on Wednesday to survey the damage left behind by Helene, the White House announced.

According to the announcement, the president will take an aerial tour of areas impacted by Hurricane Helene in western North Carolina and meet with first responders and local officials to be briefed on recovery efforts.

“He will also engage with first responders and state and local officials in South Carolina en route to North Carolina,” the White House said.

No additional details on the trip were provided.
