Charleston Police investigating fatal shooting on South Street

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD)- The Charleston Police Department is currently investigating a Monday morning shooting near a playground on South Street.

Authorities said officers responded to a shooting at a community park on South Street shortly after 11 a.m. on June 10 and found a person suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.

The individual, who has yet to be identified, was declared deceased on the scene by Charleston County EMS.
