Deputies arrest man accused of breaking into vehicles on Weeks Avenue

BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – Authorities arrested a man accused of breaking into vehicles in the Goose Creek area.

Deputies with the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) responded to a location off Weeks Avenue last week after receiving a call about someone breaking into a car.

According to the sheriff’s office, the suspect attempted to run from deputies but was detained sometime after hopping a fence.

The suspect was identified as 21-year-old Amir Michael Wilson-Miller, who was found to have a stolen gun at the time of his arrest.

“It should be noted that the firearm Wilson-Miller was in possession of was stolen that same night,” the department said. “Please, do not leave firearms in your vehicles. They can get into the hands of the wrong person.”

Wilson-Miller was taken to the Hill-Finklea Detention Center where he was booked on three charges of breaking into a motor vehicle and possession of a stolen firearm.
