Single vehicle crash kills 1 in Berkeley County

BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating after a single-vehicle crash left one dead in Berkeley County.

Troopers say the collision occurred on Cypress Gardens Rd and Bushy Park Rd around 8:13 p.m. on Saturday.

A 2014 Dodge Charger was traveling south when they veered off the roadway and struck a tree, officials say. The driver was the sole occupant and died at the scene.

The Berkeley County Coroner’s Office has not yet released the name of the deceased.
