Crews respond to early morning fire at Hall’s Chophouse in Nexton; management hopes to reopen by dinner
SUMMERVILLE, S.C. (WCBD) – Emergency crews responded to an early morning fire at Hall’s Chophouse in the Nexton community.
Officials told News 2 the call came in just after 4:30 a.m. for a fire at the popular restaurant.
Battalion Chief Sam Gaither said crews we able to get the fire under control and completely out within five minutes of arriving on the scene.
He also said it was not a kitchen fire, and that the fire broke out in one of the rooms within the two-story building.
Chief Gaither said restaurant owners should be careful when having drapes near light fixtures and noted that if it was not for the sprinkler system inside Hall’s Chophouse, this may have been a different situation.
The exact cause of the fire is unknown at this time. No injuries were reported.
Hall’s Chophouse management said they hope to have the restaurant open in time for dinner.
