Water main construction to begin in some Ladson area neighborhoods

LADSON, S.C. (WCBD) – Water main construction is scheduled to begin Monday in some Ladson area neighborhoods.

Crews will be in the Briddleford Ridge and Hunters Bend neighborhoods starting the week of June 23. 

Expected work includes staking, construction entrance installation, silt fence installation, and clearing, according to Berkeley County.

Officials said work will start along the side of 335 Houston Drive and near the intersection of Houston Drive and Elon Drive moving into the woods.

“Work is also scheduled to occur at the intersection of Drexel Road and Oxford Road,” the county said.

Water main construction will take place along Oxford Road to the intersection of Oxford Road and Houston Drive and at the crossing of Houston Drive starting the week of July 7.

County officials said water outages are not anticipated during the project.
