Crews extinguish house fire in Mount Pleasant’s Old Village

MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. (WCBD) – Fire crews in Mount Pleasant are working a reported structure fire Thursday night.

A call came in around 9:21 p.m. for a structure fire on Royall Avenue, according to emergency dispatch.

The location is in Mount Pleasant’s Old Village neighborhood, just off Pitt Street. The fire started outside and spread to a residence.

Firfighters with the Mount Pleasant Fire Department and Charleston Fire Department tackled the blaze. The flames are extinguished, and investigators are on the scene working to determine the cause of the fire, according to Mount Pleasant Fire Chief Mike Mixon.

No injuries have been reported.
