Structure fire closes traffic circle near subdivision in Dorchester County

DORCHESTER COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – crews are on the scene of a structure fire in Dorchester County Wednesday evening.

The fire is at 517 W Butternut Road and as a result the traffic circle at W Butternut Road and Orangeburg Road is closed while crews work.

Sweetbriar Subdivision residents are unable to enter or exit with the traffic circle is closed.

Dorchester County Government said to use E Butternut to Orangeburg Road and head towards Mallard Road as an alternative route.
