Pedestrian injured in Mount Pleasant crash

MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. (WCBD) – A pedestrian was injured after being struck by a vehicle in Mount Pleasant on Wednesday afternoon.

Officers with the Mount Pleasant Police Department responded to a crash at the intersection of Market Center Blvd. and Mazzy Lane.

Market Center Blvd. was closed from Highway 17 to the traffic center in Mount Pleasant Towne Center while crews responded to the incident.

Officials said the pedestrian was taken to the Medical University of South Carolina for treatment. Their condition is unknown.
