Pedestrian dies after collision on I-26, state troopers say
CHARLESTON COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – A pedestrian died Friday after being struck by a vehicle traveling on Interstate 26 through North Charleston, according to state troopers.
A 2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer was traveling east on I-26 when the driver struck a pedestrian attempting to cross the road by the 209-mile marker.
The pedestrian died on the scene from their injuries. The driver of the trailblazer was not injured.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol is the lead investigative agency.
