Mount Pleasant Memorial Waterfront Park expansion opens to public; no celebration due to rain
UPDATE: The Town of Mount Pleasant has canceled Wednesday’s grand opening celebration due to the threat of inclement weather.
While the community gathering will not happen, town leaders say the park is officially open to the public. “We look forward to celebrating this incredible addition to our community at a later date,” the town said in an update Wednesday morning.
The expanded park features a splash pad, pickleball and basketball courts, shaded dog parks, a fitness area, and new playground space.
