Auto-ped crash closes portion of Long Point Road

MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. (WCBD) – The Mount Pleasant Police Department responded to a Thursday afternoon auto-pedestrian crash on Long Point Road.

The crash happened near the Wando Port.

Long Point Road was closed at I-526 due to the crash involving injuries. Police said all traffic heading toward the port was being diverted to I-526 east.

“All traffic exiting I-526 eastbound at Long Point will be diverted towards the Port,” police added.

There is no word on the pedestrian’s condition.
