SCDOT to share details about Folly Road improvements
CHARLESTON COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – State transportation officials will hold a drop-in style meeting Thursday to highlight proposed highway safety improvements along Folly Road.
The project is looking to address pedestrian crossing safety, a more uniform traffic flow, reduced conflict points, and improvements aimed at reducing crashes.
South Carolina Department of Transportation officials said the project includes a stretch of SC 171 (Folly Road) from Old Folly Beach Road to SC 700 (Maybank Highway).
SCDOT representatives will be available at the meeting to share details and discuss the proposed project with members of the community. There will not be a formal presentation.
Thursday night’s meeting is scheduled from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Camp Road Middle School (1825 Camp Road). You can learn more by visiting the project website.
