Isle of Palms City Council workshops proposed parking rate changes
ISLE OF PALMS, S.C. (WCBD) – City council members on the Isle of Palms met Tuesday night to discuss changes to city parking rates.
Last week, council members met and recommended changing the flat rate after 4 p.m. in lots A and B to a $3 per hour fee until 8 p.m.
As for seasonal passes for non-residents and workers, members voted to recommend limiting season parking passes for non-residents to 350 at an annual rate of $225.
At tonight’s meeting, officials agreed to have the changes voted on at the next regular city council meeting.
If approved, the changes could reduce parking revenue by about $240,000.
