College of Charleston changes time for Saturday’s graduation due to rainy forecast

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – The College of Charleston announced a change in schedule for its Saturday graduation.

A high probability for rain prompted the college to move its commencement ceremony one hour earlier, at 9 a.m., in Cistern Yard. 

Gates will open at 7:30 a.m.

The College also shared a reminder that umbrellas are not allowed in Cistern Yard since they obstruct the view of the stage. 

Complimentary rain ponchos will be available at the Porter’s Lodge entrance to Cistern Yard.
