New Jersey woman killed in I-526 crash, coroner says

CHARLESTON COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – A 25-year-old New Jersey woman was identified as the victim of a deadly I-526 crash.

Laura Alarcon died on the scene of a crash involving a tow truck in the westbound lanes of I-526 during the early hours of May 5.

Charleston County Coroner Bobbi Jo O’Neal said the victim suffered blunt force injuries in the crash.

The North Charleston Police Department is investigating.
