Charleston County deputies investigating Mosquito Beach death

CHARLESTON COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – The Charleston County Sheriff’s Office confirmed Wednesday it is investigating a death that happened in the Mosquito Beach community.

Deputies responded to the intersection of Sol Legare Road and Mosquito Beach Road just before 5 p.m. Tuesday for reports of an unresponsive man found in the road.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officials have not yet publicly identified the victim. The investigation is ongoing and officials with the sheriff’s office ask that anyone with information about what happened contact them by calling 843-202-1700.
