1 charged in North Charleston drive-by shooting investigation
NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – Authorities in North Charleston announced charges against a 20-year-old in a drive-by shooting investigation.
Alexis Vallecillo faces two counts of attempted murder and one count of unlawful possession of a machine gun/sawed-off shotgun, according to the North Charleston Police Department.
Officials say the charges stem from a drive-by shooting that happened April 3 on Hawthorne Drive.
According to an incident report, two juvenile victims were found suffering from gunshot wounds when police arrived on the scene. They were both taken to an area hospital.
The investigation is ongoing.
