Police responding to deadly train accident in Hanahan

HANAHAN, S.C. (WCBD) — Police are responding to a deadly train accident Thursday evening in Hanahan.

Officers responded to reports of an individual being struck by a train between Northbrook Drive and Eagle Landing Boulevard around 5 p.m., according to Hanahan Police Chief Rick Gebhardt.

Gebhardt confirmed one person was deceased.
