Public meeting set to discuss updates on Palmetto Commerce Interchange project

CHARLESTON COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – Charleston County Public Works officials will deliver a quarterly update on the Palmetto Commerce Interchange Project on Wednesday.

During the meeting, officials will present an overview of the project, update attendees on recent progress, and discuss what is scheduled for completion in the next three months.

Officials say the project will reduce congestion at surrounding intersections, offer additional travel routes, provide access to existing and planned developments, and improve overall safety and mobility in the area intersecting I-26.

Following their presentation, attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions and speak with the project team directly.

The public meeting is set for Wednesday, March 19 from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Northwoods Park Community Center at 8348 Greenridge Road in North Charleston.
