Dorchester deputies arrest two women in strong-armed robbery and mob assault

DORCHESTER COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – The Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office has arrested two suspects in connection to strong armed robbery and assault by mob following a Saturday night fight.

According to law enforcement, deputies responded to an active fight in the 200 block of Shagbark Trail in North Charleston.

Deputies arrived at the scene around 10 p.m. and made contact with the victim. After speaking with the victim and witnesses at the scene, deputies identified Ginnell Courtney Gibbs and Lakendra Scott as suspects.

Ginnell Courtney Gibbs is charged with strong armed robbery and assault and battery by mob 3rd degree.

Lakendra Scott is charged with two counts of criminal conspiracy.

They remain in custody at the L.C. Knight Detention Center.

The sheriff’s office says the investigation remains active and additional suspects may be named at a later date.
