North Charleston woman, Florence Munford, turns 102-years-old

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) — A North Charleston woman is celebrating her 102nd birthday this Friday!

Florence Munford turns 102 years old on Feb. 21, 2025. According to her granddaughter, Hope Munford, she was born on the same day in 1923 in Union, New Jersey.

Florence volunteers with Meals on Wheels, delivering meals, and has been helping out for the past 26 years. She enjoys traveling and loves houseplants, flowers, sports, and sewing.

She is the matriarch of four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grands. In the past, Florence worked at General Electric and MetLife Stadium while living in New Jersey.

Now, Florence calls North Charleston home.
