Largest vessel to enter Port of Charleston arrives Tuesday

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – The largest vessel to enter the Port of Charleston will arrive on Tuesday.

The OOCL Iris, one of the largest commercial shipping vessels, will arrive at the Wando Welch Terminal Tuesday afternoon. Officials state it utilizes cutting-edge software to enhance energy efficiency, optimize speed, and collect data.

SC Ports President and CEO, Barabara Melvin, is expected to greet the ship when it arrives.
