Roper awards 400K in grants for community program to expand access to healthcare

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – Roper St. Francis Healthcare awarded $400,000 to local organizations aimed to expand access to healthcare and overall well-being in the Lowcountry.

Roper St. Francis will provide grants to 56 local organizations through its Community Investment Program. On Thursday, February 13, Roper will host a breakfast to present the grants to these organizations.

“These grants are part of Roper St. Francis Healthcare’s continued commitment to enhancing the health and quality of life for residents in the region,” said Roper St. Francis officials. “Through these donations, the healthcare system is helping local organizations reach the community’s most vulnerable populations, especially those who face barriers to healthcare and wellness resources.”

According to Roper St. Francis, its Community Investment Program focuses on supporting organizations that work to address the community’s prioritized healthcare needs.

Roper’s says its 2030 strategic plan aims to expand access to healthcare for historically marginalized communities, ensuring that more individuals can benefit from essential health and wellness services.
