Multi-car crash closes lanes on Don Holt Bridge

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – All westbound lanes of a major Charleston County bridge are blocked Thursday night due to a collision, police said.

A multi-vehicle crash has led to all westbound lanes on I-526 over the Don Holt Bridge to be closed while crews work to clear the scene.

The Charleston Police Department said several injuries have been reported.

Motorists should expect heavy delays and avoid the area if possible.
