Deputies arrest 2 accused of breaking into vehicles in Goose Creek neighborhood

BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – A pair accused of breaking into vehicles in Goose Creek were arrested after attempting to run from deputies.

The Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office received a call for service early Tuesday morning regarding two people trying to break into vehicles near Ramada Circle.

Deputies responded to the area and saw one of the suspects run from a home on Mellard Drive. Both were detained after a chase.

Jaytwan Darrell Robertson, 22, and Shatwan Terrell Oneal Robertson, 23, both of Harbour Lake Drive, are being charged with breaking into motor vehicles.

The sheriff’s office said a records check determined Shatwan Robertson had an outstanding warrant through the South Carolina Department of Probation, Parole and Pardon Services for a probation violation for a previous charge of possession of a stolen vehicle.

Both men are being held at the Hill-Finklea Detention Center.
