Driver dies days after Luvan Blvd. crash

GEORGETOWN, S.C. (WCBD) – A driver has died days after a crash near Georgetown, officials say.

Lance Cpl. Lena Butler with the South Carolina Highway Patrol said the crash happened on Luvan Boulevard, about six miles south of Georgetown, Tuesday around 6 p.m.

The driver of a 2017 Chrysler Pacifica left the roadway and struck a tree.

Trooper Butler said the driver, who has not yet been identified, was injured and taken to Grand Strand Regional Hospital and died the next day.

The crash is under investigation.
