Traffic congestion expected on Meeting St. on Monday

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – Traffic congestion is anticipated on Meeting Street in front of the College of Charleston’s TD Arena on Monday.

Officials say from 8:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. over 4,000 local high school and middle school students are expected at the TD Arena.

The students will attend the College of Charleston Women’s basketball game, the game will tip off at 11:30 a.m.

Officials say the buses will begin off loading students in front of the arena around 8:30 a.m. and throughout the morning. The buses will be loading the students after the game around 2 p.m.

One lane in front of the arena will be closed during that period. Police will be on hand to assist in the unloading and loading process.
