Crews respond to large structure fire in Summerville

SUMMERVILLE, S.C. (WCBD) – Multiple crews responded to an overnight structure fire in Summerville, shutting down roadways for Wednesday morning commuters.

Pine Ridge Fire Rescue reported receiving an alert about a possible structure fire on Ashland Drive around 11:11 p.m. Upon arrival, crews found a two-story structure fire at 1909 N. Main Street, with heavy fire involvement on the second floor.

According to Pine Ridge Fire Rescue, crews were on the scene for approximately four hours containing the fire.

Responding agencies include Pine Ridge Fire Department, C&B Fire Department, Central Berkeley Fire Department, Caromi Fire, Summerville Fire, Berkeley County EMS, and Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office.
