Coroner identifies skeletal remains found in North Charleston

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – The Charleston County Coroner’s Office identified Friday skeletal remains that were found in a wooded area of North Charleston earlier this week.

Officers with the North Charleston Police Department responded to a wooded area off S. Rhett Avenue on October 9 after someone reported the discovery.

Coroner Bobbi Jo O’Neal said the remains were those of 29-year-old DaSean Demir Dilligard.

Dilligard was reported missing in August 2024. His cause and manner of death are pending further investigation.
