Mount Pleasant police investigating body recovered from rentention pond
MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. (WCBD) – Few details have been released after a body was recovered from a Mount Pleasant retention pond last week.
Officers with the Mount Pleasant Police Department and assisting agencies responded to a location on Paul Foster Road on the morning of Oct. 4 after receiving reports of a male found dead in the pond.
Photos shared with News 2 at the time show emergency crews with a large silver top near the water. Firefighters, investigators, and the coroner also responded to the scene.
While no new details were provided in an update Tuesday afternoon, police said the investigation was active and there did not appear to be a danger to the public.
The Charleston County Coroner’s Office will identify the person when appropriate.
