Charleston’s first-ever Food & Wine Classic: September 27-29

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – Charleston will host its inaugural Food & Wine Classic from September 27-29, a three-day culinary experience brought to life in collaboration with Food & Wine, Southern Living, and Travel + Leisure.

This highly anticipated event offers a chance to immerse yourself in the flavors of Charleston, featuring over 50 celebrity chef demonstrations, wine seminars, and expert panels designed to inspire your culinary journey.

At the heart of the festivities is the Grand Tasting Pavilion, an expansive 19,000-square-foot tent where attendees can enjoy four exclusive tasting sessions. These tastings will present a curated selection of over 100 wines, spirits, and gourmet dishes from both local and internationally acclaimed chefs, providing a world-class dining experience.

In addition to the main attractions, attendees will have access to intimate, editor-curated events organized by Food & Wine, Southern Living, and Travel + Leisure. These exclusive experiences, available to pass holders only, include one-night-only dinners at top Charleston restaurants like FIG and 82 Queen, private shopping tours, coastal excursions, and a quintessential Southern college football tailgate at Kiawah River.

The event will also feature a star-studded lineup of culinary talent, with appearances from celebrity chefs such as Tyler Florence, and pitmasters John Lewis and Rodney Scott. To round out the weekend, enjoy a live performance from musical guest Boy Named Banjo. With so much on offer, Charleston’s Food & Wine Classic is poised to become a cornerstone of the city’s culinary calendar.
