College of Charleston issues timely warning after off-campus fondling incident
CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – The College of Charleston’s Department of Public Safety issued a timely warning to the campus community following an off-campus fondling incident near Montagu Street and Coming Street during the early morning of September 15.
According to the advisory, the incident occurred between 12:38 a.m. and 12:50 a.m. and was reported to the Charleston Police Department. The victim was approached by an unknown male suspect who groped and physically assaulted them before fleeing the area. The suspect is described as a skinny male, with short hair, and wearing all black at the time of the offense.
The suspect has not been found and authorities are continuing their investigation. The College of Charleston urges students and community members to remain vigilant, avoid walking alone at night, and report any suspicious activity to law enforcement.
