Crews extinguish Mount Pleasant house fire; 2 displaced

MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. (WCBD) – Mount Pleasant firefighters responded to a Saturday after house fire on Vincent Drive.

Crews arrived to find smoke coming from a single-story home just after 3 p.m., according to Matt Tidwell, battalion chief for the Mount Pleasant Fire Department.

One person was evaluated by EMS at the scene, but was not taken to a hospital.

The Red Cross was asked to help two adults who were displaced by the fire.

Chief Tidwell said the cause is under investigation.
