Mount Pleasant man arrested on child sexual abuse material charges

MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. (WCBD) – Authorities arrested a 26-year-old Mount Pleasant man on charges connected to the sexual exploitation of minors.

Nathaniel Scott Raasch was arrested Tuesday by Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force investigators with the Mount Pleasant Police Department.

Investigators said Raasch possessed files of child sexual abuse material.

He is charged with six counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, third degree, which is a felony offense punishable by up to 10 years imprisonment on each count.

Investigators with the Attorney General’s Office, Homeland Security Investigations, and Charleston County Sheriff’s Office assisted with the investigation.
