Gator blocks Pawleys Island beach access
PAWLEYS ISLAND, S.C. (WCBD) – The Pawleys Island Police Department reported an “unauthorized visitor” blocking the Pearce Street Beach access.
Pawleys Island PD announced via social media around 7:31 a.m. on Wednesday of a reported gator blocking the beach entrance.

Officers asked locals to avoid the area while SCDNR removed the gator.
Pawleys Island PD says the alligator has been removed around 8:05 a.m. and the beach access has reopened.
