Portion of Savannah Highway closed amid search for missing fisherman

UPDATE: Northbound lanes have reopened.

CHARLESTON COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – A portion of Savannah Highway is closed amid a search for a missing fisherman.

The Charleston County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) said crews were responding near the Bar On The River following reports of a missing fisherman.

Officials said Savannah Highway was closed near Dobbin Road in West Ashley. Drivers should use Bees Ferry Road during the closure.
