Deputies arrest man accused of trying to break into banking machine

GEORGETOWN COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – Authorities arrested a man who attempted to break into a banking machine in Georgetown County last week.

The incident happened at Santee Electric Co-op on West Virginia Road during the early morning hours of May 31.

Santee Electric shared an image of a person wearing a face mask attempting to break into the machine around 3:14 a.m., according to the sheriff’s office.

Chadwick Madison Cribb, 48, was arrested by the Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office on Tuesday and is charged with burglary/safecracking, vandalism, and destruction of property.

He is being held at the Georgetown County Detention Center pending a bond hearing.
