Deputies identify suspect, locate vehicle in Colleton County triple homicide

COLLETON COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) — Colleton County deputies have identified a suspect and located a vehicle in connection to a triple homicide that happened May 17.

The shooting took the lives of Alisha Gardner, Harvel Breland, and a two-year-old child. According to the Colleton County Sheriff’s Office, the murders occurred at a location on Hayden Street in Walterboro.

The sheriff’s office said they are actively investigating, searching through video surveillance, and testing forensic evidence. Authorities say they are confident they will identify the remaining suspects involved in the fatal shooting.

The vehicle believed to be involved with the murders has been impounded. Previously, law enforcement said they believed the shooting to be a targeted act of violence.
