Possible scattered showers expected Sunday

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – Saturday brought a risk of showers to the Lowcountry and Sunday is shaping up to have scattered showers as well.

Storm Team 2 says the risk of showers increases in the afternoon and evening hours, forming between 12 and 1 p.m.

“This is scattered, most of us it’s not going to be a washout type event, it’s not even going to be a widespread event,” says Meteorologist Grace Lowe. “Just be aware of this as you head toward your 2 and 3 o’clock [p.m.] hour.”

Storm Team 2 says there is concern about possible flooding on roadways, towards the afternoon and evening hours due to saturated ground and heavy downpours.

Temperatures will be in the upper 70s in the morning and temperatures will only increase to the low 80s in the afternoon.

Storm Team 2 says by 6 and 7 p.m., most areas will be clear of showers.
