Risk of strong storms, heavy rain, wind gusts Saturday

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – Strong storms with heavy rain and wind gusts are expected to hit the Lowcountry area on Saturday afternoon.

Storm Team 2 says the risk of stronger storms is expected to occur between 1 and 4 p.m.

“Most of this you notice, will not be widespread all day, by 5 or 6 [p.m.] things will begin to clear up for a few of us,” says Meteorologists Grace Lowe.

According to Storm Team 2 the potential for wind damage is elevated for Saturday. The threat of tornadoes, large hail and flooding rain are limited.
