Deputy involved in Hanahan crash

HANAHAN, S.C. (WCBD) – The South Carolina Highway Patrol (SCHP) is investigating a Friday morning crash that involved a deputy.

Officials with the Hanahan Police Department asked drivers to avoid Henry E. Brown Boulevard and Yeamans Hall Road following a crash just before noon. A large police presence was reported at the location.

The Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) later confirmed to News 2 that the accident involved one of their deputies.

SCHP is the investigating agency. News 2 has reached out to the agency for more information.

Hanahan Police said the roadway has since reopened.
