Tornado warning in effect for Georgetown
GEORGETOWN COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – A tornado warning has been issued for Georgetown County until 8:15 p.m.
The National Weather Service in Wilmington said a thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located over Georgetown, moving east at 30 mph around 7:42 p.m.
“This tornadic thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of southeastern Georgetown County,” said NWS forecasters.
NWS also said pea sized hail is possible. A viewer said they spotted hail in Graves Station.
