Where to celebrate National Buttermilk Biscuit Day in Charleston
CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – Sit back and imagine that first bite of a warm, fresh out of the oven buttery biscuit. Do we have your mouth watering yet?
If we’ve got biscuits on your mind now, you are in luck – it’s National Buttermilk Biscuit Day, and Charleston is full of restaurants offering the southern staple.
To celebrate the day, Mount Pleasant-based Vicious Biscuit is offering a unique sampler of its most popular items on Tuesday. The “Skully Sampler” features The Fatboy, Nashville Hot Chicken, and Shrimp and Grits in sample sizes.
Vicious Biscuit is located in Mount Pleasant (409 W Coleman Blvd.) and Summerville (206 Front Street).
If you are in downtown Charleston, stop by Callie’s Hot Little Biscuit where you’ll find myriad styles from country ham to iced blueberry, sharp cheddar, and even some gluten-free options.
Callie’s has a location on Upper King (476 ½ King Street) and at the City Market (188 Meeting Street). But don’t wait, Callie’s is only open until 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. depending on the location.
Looking for some classic biscuit and gravy? Millers All Day has you covered. Stop by their restaurant on King Street (120 King Street) or James Island (1956 Maybank Highway) and order the biscuits and gravy – you can even add fried chicken!
