Mother of Alex Murdaugh passes away

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – Mrs. Elizabeth “Libby” Alexander Murdaugh, mother of Alex Murdaugh, passed away peacefully Tuesday afternoon at her home, according to the funeral home website.

Libby Murdaugh was married for 60 years to the late Randolph Murdaugh III.

Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home says she passed away under hospice care and arrangements are incomplete at this time.
