Pedestrian dead after collision in Williamsburg Co.

WILLIAMSBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating an early Saturday morning collision that left a pedestrian dead in Williamsburg County.

Master Trooper Willam Bennett says the collision occurred on County Line Rd two miles south of the town of Andrews.

Troopers say a pedestrian was lying in the roadway on County Line Rd around 5:35 a.m. when a 2013 Dodge Challenger struck them traveling south.

The pedestrian died at the scene. The driver of the Dodge was the sole occupant and was not injured.

The Williamsburg County Coroner’s Office has not yet released the name of the deceased.
