Roads reopen after train breakdown in Dorchester County

Update: The Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office announced the train was moved between crossings and roadways are back open.

DORCHESTER COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – The Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office (DCSO) announced that a train with mechanical issues broke down and is blocking roadways in Dorchester County.

DCSO says Pete Ewers and Mallard Road are closed until further notice.

Officials say Norfolk Southern has no ETA for clearing and cautioned drivers to find alternative routes.
