Holy City Missions to open warming shelter Saturday
NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – A warming center in North Charleston will open its doors Saturday night for people seeking reprieve from the cold.
Temperatures are expected to dip into the upper 30s overnight Saturday.
Holy City Missions will open its Winter Warming Shelter at Aldersgate off Remount Road. Registration will be held between 7:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. and the shelter will close at 7:00 a.m. the following morning.
Guests will be served a hot dinner, breakfast and grab-and-go lunch bags. A hot shower, warm clothes, and toiletries are also available.
Those who need a ride to the shelter can hop on a CARTA bus for route 13 and request the Aldersgate Winter Warming Shelter.
Pets are not allowed.
