Goose Creek PD investigating Friday homicide at apartment complex

GOOSE CREEK, S.C. (WCBD) — The Goose Creek Police Department (GCPD) is investigating a homicide Friday after a shooting that left one person dead at a Goose Creek Apartment Complex.

Officers responded to an apartment at Saint James on Channing Way around 4:45 p.m. after receiving reports of a woman caller saying a person was shot on her front porch.

When they arrived, officers found a male victim suffering from a gunshot wound and unresponsive. EMS pronounced the victim dead on the scene, said GCPD.

Authorities know the suspect in the shooting fled the scene in a gray Nissan Sedan. He is described as a Black male, medium build, and wearing all black.

GCPD’s Criminal Investigation Unit is investigating this case. Investigators ask if any members of the public have information regarding this shooting to contact them at 843-863-5200.
