CPD: 1 seriously injured in Crosstown vehicle vs. pedestrian crash
CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – The Charleston Police Department responded to a crash that involved a pedestrian Friday morning near the Crosstown.
According to CPD, the crash was reported just after 6:15 a.m. on Spring Street.
At 6:51 a.m., CPD said in a tweet that a pedestrian was involved in the accident.
The crash shut down the southbound lanes of Spring Street between Courtenay Drive and Lockwood Boulevard.
Police say one person suffered serious injuries and was transported to the hospital.
Crews with the Charleston Fire Department and Charleston County EMS also responded to the scene.
The crash is being investigated.
